A LITTLE WORLDBUILDING. A LOT OF BELONGING.

So, what are
we calling
the guild?

I’m Armindo. I built this little corner of the internet for the part of starting a guild that somehow takes an entire evening: agreeing on a name.

Pick a world, tell me the mood, and we’ll start there. You can worry about the banner later.

02 / THE WORD DRAWERS

Which world
feels like yours?

Before there was a banner, there was a small light between the trees. Someone had stayed behind to wait for the others. By morning, the clearing had become a meeting place; a few evenings later, it had a name. Imagine the first page of your guild’s story beginning somewhere like that.

These word drawers hold a few possible settings: salt on a harbour wall, the last lamp in a quiet house, a sky you learn to navigate together. Open the one that reminds you of your people. The words can suggest a place to begin; the things you do together will give the name its meaning.

Forest

The path disappeared beneath the roots, so the first arrivals hung a lantern from a branch. One by one, the others found their way to its light. Think of a name that feels like that clearing: sheltered enough to rest in, with a path still leading somewhere you have yet to explore.

Celestial

They had no map for the journey home, only a familiar cluster of stars above the ridge. Each night, a different person took the first watch. A celestial name can hold that quiet trust: separate lights, a shared direction, and someone keeping an eye on the horizon while the others sleep.

Shadow

At the edge of the ruined hall, a door opened without a sound. No one rushed through. They waited for the last pair of footsteps, then crossed the threshold together. For a shadow guild, the interesting story may be in what goes unsaid: a signal understood, a promise kept, a place quietly held for someone.

Ocean

The harbour wall held the day’s warmth long after sunset. They sat there with salt on their boots, arguing over which distant shore to try next. An ocean name belongs to that moment between leaving and returning: room for a restless horizon, and a harbour where the whole crew is known.

Cozy

The kettle was already on when the last player arrived. There was no grand plan for the evening, just a spare chair, a half-finished project, and a story someone had been saving all day. A cozy name can begin here, in the small habit of making room for one more person.

Competitive

The scoreboard had gone dark, but one voice stayed in the channel. “Again tomorrow?” A few tired answers came back, followed by a plan to try one thing differently. A competitive name can carry that resolve: the willingness to return, listen carefully, and do the ordinary work that makes a team better.

A NOTE ON THE METHOD

A name needs more than a nice sound.
